Short-term mandates abroad

DID is seeking high calibre experts in banking, either specialists or generalists, to undertake short or medium-term contracts abroad lasting from three to six weeks.

These expert consultants will be taking on major challenges since they will play an active role in outlining development strategies and implementing change for the growth of partner financial institutions.

These experts, whether from the Desjardins Group or outside consultants, possess solid and recognized expertise in a DID field of activity. They are self-sufficient, creative professionals capable of working in a variety of social and economic environments and are skilled and experienced in transfering expertise.

Pierre Robitaille

A DID seminar in Senegal

Recently, Développement international Desjardins (DID) began organizing strategic management seminars for its partners. Offered on several continents, these seminars last several days, cover various topics related to financial decision-making, strategic planning and governance, and are intended for executives in the financial institutions supported by DID around the world. Led by DID training experts, they also feature Desjardins managers who share their experience with the participants.

“The contact with managers from several countries in Africa enabled me to understand their situation, both personal and professional. In addition, I had the chance to work with a truly exceptional team at DID. These individuals were able to facilitate my work and my adaptation to a different environment. It was a tremendous experience for me, one that I wouldn’t hesitate to repeat,” emphasized Pierre Robitaille following his participation in the first of these seminars, held in Senegal. Pierre Robitaille had been First Vice President for the eastern region with the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec (FCDQ) and First Vice President Director General of the FCDQ.
