On September 4, 2019, managers and employees at Développement international Desjardins (DID) attended a work session whose goal was to identify new action plans to increase DID’s contribution to environmental protection and the fight against climate change.
Organized by DID’s Development and Innovation Administrative Department, the event first and foremost provided a snapshot of DID’s current commitment to these two issues.
Furthermore, speakers from Desjardins Group fuelled discussions on various key aspects of sustainable development and climate change. Gildas Poissonnier, Manager, Sustainable Development and Responsible Finance, Christophe Menigault, ESG Analytics Practice Leader and Pascal Laliberté, Senior Advisor, Sustainable Development and Responsible Finance, presented the Desjardins sustainable development service offer and the challenges associated with this theme, at the same time establishing numerous links with DID’s concerns.
Lastly, participants identified proposals for commitments, partnerships and concrete interventions so these discussions may translate into a course of action for the future.
