DID supports the development of inclusive insurance in Morocco

May 15, 2019

As part of its financial inclusion strategy, the government of Morocco, through the Autorité de Contrôle des Assurances et de la Prévoyance Sociale (ACAPS), has awarded DID the mandate to conduct a nationwide study to develop inclusive insurance in Morocco.

This study will focus on the following six areas:

 •     An analysis of the national situation

•     The identification of the target groups

•     An analysis of the needs

•     An analysis of the supply

•     An analysis of the regulatory framework

•     Recommendations and a roadmap

Jean-Luc Fontaine, team leader and insurance expert, and Malick Seye, coordinator of DID’s regional office in Dakar will conduct this highly strategic study. It will be based on an analysis of the conditions of the sites and consultations with the primary stakeholders in the inclusive insurance industry on both the supply side (insurance companies and financial institutions) and the demand side (targeted groups of potential users).
